Meet Angella

About Me

Angella created One Love Nuff Seasonings with heart, passion, and health in mind. Born and raised in Saint Ann, Jamaica, her interest in how foods affect the body prompted her to study Catering Management and Food Science at the University of Technology, formerly known as CAST. Angella has 20 plus years of foodservice experience working at renowned places in Jamaica, such as the Enchanted Gardens Resort and Runaway Bay Heart Academy, and at the Culinary Institute in Riverside, California. Angella also lived in Bristol, England, where she catered extensively and promoted Jamaican food on BBC Radio and Channel 4 TV. She was part owner of the acclaimed Tropical Grill Restaurant in Corona, California.

Over the years, Angella’s passion for food transitioned her experience from restaurant owner to Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Her focus on diabetes comes from her family’s long history with diabetes. Angella earned her MS in Diabetes Education and Management at Columbia University and has been dedicated to teaching diabetes care and prevention in the Native American population. She founded the PEEPS Peers Educating, Empowering, and Providing support online diabetes education program, as a platform where just about anyone can become a Certified Diabetes Peer Educator with the ability to help themselves, their loved ones, and their community to live well with diabetes.

Angella’s mission is to honor her sister’s life lost to diabetes by following her heart and nourishing yours.
